Is it $5 every time you spend more than $25 or a one time $5 credit?
Thank you

Using the same registered Card, each time spend a total of at least $25 at a participating restaurant during the NYC Restaurant Week campaign, February 17 to March 7, 2014, you will receive a $5 statement credit.

Indeed! Looks like you're not alone with that sentiment considering Restaurant "Week" now lasts 3 weeks. What....participating restaurants can't get enough business with these special prices in just one week?

IMHO-
Restaurant week used to feature some great restaurants. It used to represent a sample of the food they serve (in smaller portions) as well as a glimpse into the decor and service. Basically, it should have been a teaser to entice you to come back to the restaurant in the future to get the full experience.
Over the years, its turned into an opportunity for restaurants that are not successful (most, not all) to attract customers for business for a 2 week period (now 3 weeks). Rather than looking at it as an opportunity to bring in future diners, they are there in hopes of drawing people in during that time only.
Kind of defeats the purpose when I see restaurants serve dishes that would never show up on their daily menu. In the past I saw steakhouses offer a 3 course dinner where the entree choices were limited to chicken, fish, or pasta. Chicken and pasta seems to be popular item choices for entrees during restaurant week.
People are smart enough to know which ones are still worth going to and definitely cherry pick the few restaurants that they see value in.
Maybe the question for FT folks should be, "Which restaurants during restaurant week are worth going to?"
