Nor'easter coming?!
I'm doing an MR: SFO-BOS, spend 1 hr in Logan, BOS-SFO. The 1 hour is around 7am Monday morning.
If the forecast storm hits tomorrow and lasts thru Sunday afternoon, what do you think the odds are that ops will still be hosed Monday? (I have very little experience flying in the northeast.)

We in NE are used to these types of storms. Most airports (and major roads) are back to normal within a few hours!

Thanks to both respondents for the reassurance.
Another couple of FTers are doing the same MR a day earlier, so they'll be arriving 6:40am Sunday morning and leaving at 8am the same day. I suppose they will have more to worry about if the storm hits as predicted.

I would guess that the Sat evening redeye may never leave SFO. Many airlines will avoid flying into the worst part of the storm since the likelihood of diversion will be high. BOS crews can keep up with a lot, but if it really starts blowing and the snow is falling at 3+ inches an hour, they can't keep the runways clear enough.

Back in the 90's, there was a Super Storm that caused snow from AL (maybe MS) all the way up to ME. All the major airports were closed, except ALB! (Of course, there were no flights to JFK, DCA, ATL, BOS, etc... - but ALB was officially open! )
But that was a major storm! I don't expect many problems with this one - unless your flights are during the brunt of the storm! Within 3-6 hours after the storm, it should be back to normal.

In an hour of shoveling snow, I have heard only 2 arrivals to BOS. Since the prime landing path in this sort of wind is about 1/2 mile away, I can usually hear each arrival. I wonder who felt that they needed to get here that badly.

Haven't heard anything either, and I'm just a couple miles north of
BOS. I see ozweepay's 180 has been cancelled; I'm anxiously watching
to see if 726 gets in, because that's the equipment that is supposed
to take me away tomorrow morning. Massport says that Logan is open,
but I still don't hear anything (wind's now from the NW, so they're
probably not landing to the south).

On TWC yesterday during the height of the storm, I found it interesting that during the "Travel" reports, that said that LGA and JFK were "closed" (understandable) - but they said that BOS had "-0-" delays? 
HUH?
Yes, it could be -0- for the delay - because there were NO FLIGHTS! Thus no flights = no delays!

Yeah, even though my redeye wasn't due in until 7am this morning, it was cancelled due to weather (I thought the storm was supposed to be gone by yesterday afternoon?!).
Ah well, you book an MR during the "Blizzard of 06", what do you expect?!

UA wimped out if they cancelled Sun night redeyes. The snow stopped around 7pm (18" 47cm at my house) We had 40 people coming in from the US and Europe on Sunday. Late day trans-atlantic flights all arrived. US flights were all cancelled. Only 9 people were here by Monday morning.

At least 726 did get in, so 171 left on time the next day.
I got lucky this time - if my reservation had been one day
earlier, I might still be trying to sort things out. Instead,
I'm at Carol's right now in my pajamas, 5700 eqms richer.
