If going to Groton do you prefer to fly in to Providence, RI or Hartford, CT? Seems only 10 miles difference. Or is there a better option?

Thanks.

If all other things are equal, the drive from Providence should be better.

I agree with mclee19. Flying into BDL leaves you north of Hartford so you have to deal with Hartford traffic and then a state road. The state road is fine and Hartford traffic usually is not terrible, but flying into PVD puts you in Warwick, south of Providence so you will miss virtually all of the Providence traffic and it is a quick jump down I-95 to Groton - highway all the way.

I would base it on price, but in general I think PVD would be a better choice. The drive should be easier, and if it's in the winter there's much less of a chance of snow into Providence.

Less chance of traffic too.
