If this IS the case , then can someone explain to me why the moderators didn't leave the forum alone and wait for RP to take actions, time and schedule permitting.

The forum is NOT moderated and so far these giveaways (NO TRADES) were running smoothly until someone DIDN'TGET HIS OR HER WAY and decided to take revenge.

This whole mayhem is just a jejeunal situation caused by some who do not accept the way the AC forum has been running. JMHO

I myself would prefer that the TS&S forum be un-moderated. But, it, like the REST of the board, is! You don't see my whining and crying, do you?????????????

Why do the participants of the AC forum feel that they should be treated any different than the participants of ALL of the other forums on FT?????????????????????

As I have stated above, I do not care what the rules are for the AC forum or any other; if Randy wants to change/make an exception/etc., I'll follow his lead in the moderating he has asked me to do.

Randy appointed three senior moderators for a time of testing. The "report bad post" emails come to those senior moderators. Those emails make us specifically aware of posts/threads that are violating Randy's stated rules. We deal with them according to those rules.

Your beef is with Randy, not the senior mods. Would it be possible to wait for him to clarify?



I'm really not sure why that is relevant. But, as I say, I hope Randy will clarify his thinking and the mods, as always, will respect and honor that.

I beg to differ. Contrary to your perception of the AC forum being whiners and cry babies, we would not be facing this situation if a real "cry baby" did not run to Mommy because he or she did not get his or her way on the AC forum.

We did not ask to be treated differently - there was a friendly spirit of "help thy neighbours with GIVEAWAYS when thou do not need them ( instead of letting them go to waste)" and it was running smoothly without interference until someone decided otherwise because his or her request was not met.

This entire thread is whining and crying from SOME of the AC forum regulars.

SOME of the AC forum regulars do not want moderators and are whining and crying about that fact.

And you are a regular contributor to the AC forum, so have a lot of insight into what has been going on?

We go through this ad nauseum. It's a fairly contented, if occasionally rough and tumble place until the moderation issue comes up. Then, what was an environment that was working well gets into this mess over and over again, usually caused by a few provocateurs.

And yes, to whomever questioned me before on "spoiled" -- it has been spoiled in the past few days. A lot of threads focusing on this issue, and a lot of the main posters going elsewhere.

Because you're whining about how things are different on the AC forum. Quit blaming us because FT and/or Randy decided to keep the forum unmoderated. Should it comes as a surprise we'd like to keep it that way?

The whole issue is NOT about the forum being MODERATED but keeping the forum spirit (which is unique) of offering giveaways to fellow AP FFers who may need them WITHOUT asking anything in return.
If this is hard to swallow, then let it be...........................

The only avenue I will use now is the AC concierges at YYZ who will most likely only get them to ACSE customers(Elites and Prestiges do not have access to these people.)

Honestly? No, I don't personally think that Randy is hiding. I do think, however, that Randy's experiment of making the mods more active in the AP forum is failing. Some obvious (maybe not to the mods, but to a lot of other FT'ers) signs include the multitude of threads and postings voicing discontent, as well as the dramatically increasing traffic in what can be described as "competing discussion groups" outside of FT.

Ya think? Judging by the mods' almost religious zeal and fervour in this matter, I would have never guessed.
