The TAROM alliance
Well my VPs, Goddesses, sycophants, pets and in-laws, it's time for you to earn your keep.
First let me share my company vision. (rated R http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/wink.gif) ahem....
In order to be a World Player, we need to move beyond being the most desirable airline. We need to create an Alliance.
True, Star and OneWorld are passable but they clearly don't have the glam potential we do. So let's start with our prefered airline partner the world renouned airoli and build from there shall we?

We need to have the best airlines, regardless of their current alliance status. Suggestions??
What about Libyan Arab Airlines? We could introduce the Ceaucesou-Gadhafi express...

I believe the time is right to start service on the Ceaucescou-Hussein Shuttle.
Iraqi Air's fleet includes a Russian-made Iluyshin 76 that just screams GLAM.
Since Saddam Hussein airport finally reopened in 2000 they have been looking for partners. Time to go in before someone else does.

Well now we could consider Aeroflot.. I think their Frequent Flyer program would fit right in here:
"yes, dear - we know you bought a ticket a month ago for 1 million ruble - but today it's 5 million ruble - hate it for ya!" http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/biggrin.gif

There needs to be a helicopter service.
And it needs Big Sky Airlines, to serve that special segment of Glam fishermen.

Perhaps a double dipping arrangement with InnPoints would be in order, if only for the entertainment value.
Those guys are pretty darned funny:

I would like to see a link up with 'Love Air' a little outfit (probably bankrupt now anyway) that flew from London Biggin Hill to slomewhere near Paris.. very romantic, and of course handy for VP meetings.

and my asian faves.. MIAT Mongolian. They had stacks of rusty old planes lying around at Ulaan Bator, all just waiting for a Glam make over. Oh and they do have at least one Airbus (still decorated inside with LH livery), and the inflight magazine is almost as good as ours as well ! I can rave on about how they rescued me from Mongolia for a bit too if that would help..
