The End of "United Connection"

Hallo Ladies,

Well they are finally pulling the plug on United Connection, the letter I receive today ....

We'd like to thank you for your loyalty to United and continued support ............we believe the best way is to focus on enhancing our web site, That is why effective July 20, 2001, we will be discontinuing the United Connection Software.

I like this part:

We realize this may not seem like good news for you, since some of the features you liked on the United Connection software, such as the ability to hold a reservation, are not available on United.com right now.
(If they haven't added it by now, do you think they ever will?)

Now we'll never be able to use those useless dollar off, or customer service vouchers!

Then they go on to talk about the on line booking bonus, And what is this big deal about the online booking bonus, I've always gotten it...even when I book with my travel agent....the key is to call mileage plus and act real innocent..."but I booked it on United Connection", I guess when they changed it at the airport it knocked out the code showing it was booked online, would you go ahead and add them in manually?".

It works every time!

Kiss Kiss

P.S...Happy "Pride Month".

Sarcasm -- the lowest form of wit.

Multiple handles -- against the FT TOS.
