What is a good (if any) program to earn points for writing checks (1000's of dollars of them)?

Thanks

I don't know of any programs that earn miles for writing checks, but there are several options for programs that pay you interest in miles for money on deposit in a checking account. And, anyone that writes a lot of high-value checks is likely to have quite a high average balance in their checking account just because of temporary float, even if they don't use it as an investment vehicle specifically.

Check out www.bankdirect.com for one option to earn AA miles with a checking account.

The account would not have a high balance.

Basically, money would be put in right before writing the checks.

Thanks

Steve, Thanks for the heads up on the bank. It looks like there is no limit on miles in the checking account? The low interest on ING these days makes it tempting to move $100K in business savings over for the miles which I could then convert over to Hilton Points. BTW from the other threads, do they take deposits via credit card or only linked transfers? Need a referral bonus?

I don't see any indication that BankDirect offers "business" accounts.

This page indicates that the initial deposit can be made by credit card, but I have no experience, we mailed a check...

Thanks,
I see a commercial link, but alas when it is clicked, the mileage accounts disappear, I might have to make a big withdrawal into my personal accounts!!

Pays for maintaining a balance, not writing checks.

A bank would be crazy to pay you for writing checks. But if one does.....I will put my computer to work printing penny checks.

MyPoints has an earning partner, Deluxe, that you can earn UA miles for all those checks you need to buy. So, some what indirectly, you are earning miles for writing them. Good luck with this.
