Skyteam or OneWorld?

Hi, I am new to the forums here, thanks in advance for your advice.

I am currently a member of both skyteam and oneworld. Most of my miles are with skyteam (delta) but i have no eqm segments or miles with them. I have a few eqm segments/miles with oneworld (american).

I will be travelling from BOS to RDU quite frequently, with the occasional trip from BOS - MIA/EYW and BOS - LHR and am trying to decide which airline to stick with.

So your question is not which alliance, but which airline.

-Do you have a personal preference between the two?
-Who is paying for your ticket? (does price matter?)
-Are upgrades important?
-How long will it take you to reach elite status with each. If you fly enough at the right fare basis with AA you can reach Platinum status in as little as 7.500 miles (flying full fare Y or F)
-Are you looking at upgrades for overseas flights. It seems, from reading the DL forums, that it is cheaper/easier on AA.

Are you talking about a challenge?
