BWI , EWR & DCA parking
any suggestions for parking a car for 1-2 weeks at these airports. the public lots are always full. also what lots have "fp" frequent parker programs. Colonial Parking at PHL has such a program (think 6th stay is free).

An airport hotel - Ramada, I believe - at BWI offers free parking for as long as you like if you spend a night at the hotel (after which you can take the hotel shuttle to the airport).
DCA has a couple of "off airport" parking competitors. "Park & Fly" is one. Cheaper than the Airport parking, but not "cheap."
Good luck!

At BWI it is the Ramada. I think for around $60 you get a room for the night, free parking for the week and free shuttle to the airport. Maybe even breakfst too. They run ads in the Baltimore Sun just about every week.
I park at FastPark and have been happy with the service. I think it is $9.75 per day and they have a frequent parker program. They always send me $2 off coupons. I have a lot of them.

For EWR, since parking is outrageous (Of course it's the NYC area) check around for a package deal with some discount for a week or longer parking.
I received this card from AMEX for some discounted parking at one of the big company lots near EWR. I threw it out (now I wish I didn't, I could have help you Mr. Nice) but if I remember there were deep discounts for weekly parking and I think you also earn M-P miles.
Check with AMEX. I don't remember the parking company name.
Sorry I can't be of more help but it's this age thing.

For DCA and BWI, you might want to consider parking in a public-transit lot (nearly made a disastrous typo there
). National is accessible by DC's Metro (blue line), while BWI is on the Baltimore light rail (the station is right in the international terminal).

I agree with JeffS about FastPark's good service and price at BWI. In their frequent parker program, they'll send you a Free Day certificate for every eight paid days of parking.
As for DCA, I understand their new parking garage is a big improvement in size over the old lot--I'm scheduled to fly from there in two weeks and can let you know how expensive they are.

At BWI your best bet is FastPark or Park and Ride. Both services come right to your car in the lot to pick you up. When you return they are always patrolling the lower level and will drop you back off at your car again. The light rail will only add time on both ends of your trip and lets you off at the far end of the terminal. If you are flying UA you would have a very long walk to the gates.

We don't travel that often, but when we do fly out of Newark (EWR), we use Vista Parking at Howard Johnson Hotel off of Frontage Road (Exit 14 of NJTP). They charge about $9/day ($8 for AAA members). Efficient service to airport (they've always taken us right away); about 10-15 minute wait upon return (they give you 800 number to call when you arrive). Phone number is 973-465-9400.
I don't know how this compares to alternatives, since this is the only parking we've ever used. They may have discounted rates for longer stays, but our trips are usually less than 1 week, so I've never checked. Depending upon where you live limo service could be cheaper for longer stays (2 weeks)?
Hope this helps.

For EWR, I always park at my house and take a 17min cab ride down route 78....
but I guess that doesn't help you too much

Well Mister Nice... I found that card about parking at EWR. It's for a company called VISTA Parking which is a long term off site parking area and shuttle service to EWR.
I'm not sure about the exact location of the lot. Maybe our JERZEE friends can answer this question.
The card offers 50-percent long term parking at teh site when using your AMERICAN EXPRESS CARD. I would send it to you but it has MY NAME on it.
AMEX was the one who sent the card. Maybe they can help with a discount rate.
OR you could call VISTA PARKING at 973-465-9400 and ask about discount packages or if you could get a card for yourself.
OMNI: FUNNY THING that I got the card since I don't have a car (the parking in JERZEE CITY is about as costly as NYC.)
