Strangest Use of CC for miles

My mom, a no status US FF member, loves to tell the story of how she used her US CC to prepay her funeral. She scored 6,000 miles in the process.

So, what is the most unique/strangest thing you have purchased to earn miles with a CC?

I think prepaying someone else's funeral would be stranger...

Income taxes on AmEx, added enough points to MR for two round-trip flights on Delta. Had to pay it off immediately, however, so it didn't show as a giant increase in debt ratio on my credit report!

So, we have death and taxes as the strangest. I think it will be hard to beat that. I just having boring items like FTD flowers, cell phones, and video rental services.

I think he forfeited those points. He sued Amex to try to get his money back, so I imagine his account was closed.

Smile Boob Job

Exgirlfriend wrote the check to me instead of her doctor...and I got United Miles...

I enjoyed using both!

Now that we broke up, I wonder if I can dispute the charge.... Hmmmm

After shopping around for the best price, I used my Miles card for putting my dog to sleep.
