spoke to UA
They said the screen is down until 1/9! So if anyone is looking for a status match before then, get in line! I was told to fax it in again, and they were having problems with the fax machine in December LOL
So, I've faxed in twice, emailed and called. I will not count on my status match. In fact, I was just told to fax it in again! LOL!
Does this seem crazy to anyone else or only me?!?!!

AS status match: how long does comped status stay valid? Cutoff?
Q for folks who have status-matched into AS's MVP/MVP Gold program: how long does the status last?
In AA's program, status matches made after July-ish stay valid for the entire following year. Wondering if there's a similar cutoff date for AS status matches. At some point in the calendar year it becomes unrealistic to think that a newly transferred flyer is going to fulfill the seg/mile requirements for the year.

NW Silver elite..match to continental?
I just recently got silver elite on Northwest Worldperks...Wanted to get match on continental since i fly on both airlines frequently..called continental and they seemed very reluctant to do it..said that they match everyone except Northwest worldperks..I am new to this whole match thing so i am confused..and should i ask for match on American Advantage..
Having just made NW Silver elite for the first time, this is a whole new world to me. Thanks for any feedback..

Continental will recognize your NW status though, so you're set anyway.

Not sure the exact cutoff date, but certainly a match done in say October will be good through 12/31 of the following year.

What is required for a 1K status match?
I did a search for status matching to MP 1K and the information seems to reflect that it does happen, but only on very rare occasions. Does anyone know what is required or know of anyone who actually succeeded?

Getting around Once-in-a-lifetime
I was reading this thread, and came across a query which made me curious.
Can one get around the once-in-a-lifetime deal by changing addresses/ signing up for a new account? What would the punishment be if one was caught.
Also, do certain programs not apply the once-in-a-lifetime rule. I heard AS allows you to statusmatch once every two years.
