We vote (I'm casting Raeban's vote by proxy - careful or I'll do an LBJ and start heading for the cemetery for more names!):
SAT. 1st or 2nd weekend of June.
We can visit our lunatic friends who live there (dual purpose mission)...

First and last weekends in May and fourth of July are no good for me, any other time is fine ...
I'm not too picky about the city, though SAT sounds appealing.

How's this sound... since Austin and San Antonio are less than 100 miles apart, how 'bout one day in San Antonio and one day in Austin?
For those who want to rack up miles either on Delta or United, Delta has one of the shortest flights in their schedule: SAT-AUS (two flights daily). No connections, no fuss, no muss. It's only a 15-minute positioning flight for their SLC-SAT-AUS-SLC rotation, but what the hey!

For UA flyers, you can get direct flights to SAT from DEN and ORD. For AUS, direct flights are available from SFO, DEN, ORD, and IAD.

Can you Texans handle two cities and two parties in two days??? I know we party hardy Jerzee boys can!
Just pick a date so I can arrange for someone to watch my "children" (who sadly cannot make the Texas Hoe-down! Or whatever you are calling it!)
All weekends but last in June and first in July are good for me.
And I will not be a designated driver (a designated walker, maybe!) I want to try these famous Margaritas Y'all talk about.

Let's pick a date already!
I respectfully put down the weekend of June 12-13 as a proposal in SAT.
Come on ... let's do it!
Beckles
PS ~ If anyone's pissed about my take charge attitude I'm going to blame it on the beyond count number of margaritas (and the one beer I had on the plane) I downed in the CRC in New Orleans before getting to the CRC here in Atlanta!

OK, Cowgirls and Cowpokes, it sounds like 6/12-13 in SAT is pretty good. Let's have a straw vote. Everyone that can make it e-mail our voice in SAT, AlphaSigOU. We can then decide on Hoedown Headquarters and make tracks for the barn.

Well, unfortunatly the weekends of the 12th and 26th are no good for me. On top of that it looks like the Long Beach get together might end up on the weekends of June 5th, or the 18th!!!. SAT would be my vote, but it sounds like I may not be able to make it on the dates you are planning. I shall await the decision.

Well... guess I got drafted to be the host!
The Texas FlyerTalk get-together is 12-13 June in the Alamo City (SAT).
So far I have Jaws, Traveltoomuch and AusTXHiker confirmed for the weekend of 12-13 June. Anyone else I missed? Please e-mail me your confirmation.

That weekend sounds good. I'm still looking for anything like a reasonable UA rate from DEN. It looks like it might be cheaper to fly into AUS then drive down. What sort of time table did folks have in mind?
