Thanks for your time and effort with the information you share on FlyerTalk and your own Website! |

------------------ Free Frequent Flyer Miles I think that AA ebay thread shows us how we can turn CO miles into AA miles... Have to check it in one of the more recent posts in there and see! This thread is located at: http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/showt...3&goto=newpost :)MM |

1) go to the grocery store 2) buy something small with said debit card 3) get $100 "cash-back" from the register when paying for your purchase 4) stop by the bank to redeposit your cash 5) repeat 6) travel lots for free  ? Does cash-back at the grocery store count as an ATM withdrawal? Generally when I go to Safeway and do this (I hate ATM fees, so this is the only way I withdrawal money) it comes up on my receipt as the purchase total being $102.38 or something ($100 of which was my "cash-back"). This would definitely be awesome if it worked. Anyone tried it before? peace, ~Ben~ PS> This is my first time ever posting on the forum, though I've read it forever, and I'd like to extend many thanks to all of you (and pgary specifically - great website!) for all the great deals over the years. ^ ^ ^ PPS> Oh, yeah - I also get United Airlines miles and uPromise goodness for shopping at Safeway, too. So this would make it a magical trifecta! SOmeone please let me knwo if this would work so that I can run out and change my checking account... :D |

Any cash back from an POS purchase with your debit card is considered a "cash transaction" for the entire sale. So no miles! |

How about this: Could one use the miles debit card to buy something exspensive, get the miles, and then return it and still have the miles credited? I know this doesn't really work with credit cards, but thought it might be worth asking about these debit cards. Sorry if these pedestrian questions reveal me as a neophyte, but I basically am.. ;-) Thanks! peace, ~Ben~ |
