iDine now Rewards Network? And no miles?

Just cashback? Who wants cashback, I want miles. Please tell me I'm missing something here. (I'm missing many, many miles for company pizza parties, that's for sure.)

If you want miles, start by going to your preferred airline and finding out if they have an iDine program. Click through from the airline site link and you will be able to set up your free mileage iDine account. (For example, you will get dropped at something like www.aa.idine.com for American Airlines.)

The cashback version is called iDine Prime, and is co-branded as about a hundred different things through credit cards, organizations, etc. "Rewards Network" sounds like something like that. Don't knock that program: for many people, 20% cashback minus a fifty dollar annual vigorish is the best deal going.

You could theoretically participate in both variants with different credit cards, but most iDine Prime folks don't want to cannibalize their earnings: they've already decided that miles are worth less to them.

Nowhere on the website, including the program description and FAQs does it mention miles.

HOWEVER, when I logged in and did a restaurant search, it showed miles earned at the locations shown.

I'be been signed up for a long time with US Mileage Plus and AA on another card.

But I haven't received miles for January and February, then I go to www.iDine.com and it says we are now Rewards Network, formerly iDine, and there is no mention of miles.

But if I go through the UA site to search for restaurants it says miles! But I can no longer find Pizza Hut.

You should read the 1st responder to your post. I think he has clearly answered the question for you.

I believe I have the links to all of the U.S. iDine miles programs on the Other Programs I Like page of my web site below, plus many of the bonus offers for those programs. I have been receiving miles once or twice a week from the Northwest, American, and United Airlines iDine programs, as recently as last week.

iDine Prime is now the main Rewards Network cashback program. You will only see the cashback offering at the Rewards Network site.

However, nothing has changed with the mileage program - you simply have to link to it via your airline's site (as in the AA example above) - except that it's more inconvenient to find.

iDine has never had very strong websites. This is one of their weak links.

But...I don't think there is a reason to panic. I had an iDine post last week to my AA account, and they are actively rolling out new promotions for the mileage programs (e.g., double miles on next 3 dines until end of March).

And it looks like they are now rebranding iDine Prime as Rewards Network. Underlying benefits look the same to me - no biggie.
