I think so. In fact, I've reregistered for it because I'm four months away from a second Bachelor's degree (I got my first one in December of 2002, and got the miles several months later).

They told me that there is a time limit in reporting the graduation to get the miles (IIRC, it was 90 days), but they waived it for me because I wasn't very far past that.

I wonder how long they will keep this wording on CollegePlus' front page:

I emailed them in June asking for details on earning miles through community service and they said they weren't doing that anymore. Still, mid-August, the front page to CollegePlus still promises miles for community service.

If I do this, I'll send them a copy of my diploma (no need to let UAL see my entire transcript, and what classes I did poorly in). Might be a problem, though, if they enforce a time limit. I guess I could change the year and governor's signature on the copy. Will UAL send me to Mileage Plus prison for this?

Well, perhaps better than anything UAL would serve you, anyway...

thats why i only sent them the first page of the transcript and blacked out stuff that was none of their business

i thought it was pretty cool that even though i was months done with school, when they put the miles in my account, my statement said that they were credited on my grad date. it was a very small (but awesome and personal) touch that made me smile

i also remember how pissed my gf at the time was she didnt know about collegeplus, and she didnt know that you could send your diploma in if you were a regular MP member

Hmm.. if UA allows someone to get miles a couple years after graduation will you let us know? I got my BA in 2002 so I doubt they're going to give them to me now. Thankfully even if they won't fork them over (and quite rightfully not, but I can hope) I can get miles when I get my JD in 2005.

Wonder if they have a limit to the number of times you can qualify? Seems that there might be a booming business in $29.95 Diploma Mill diplomas (my calculation is approx 3cents per mile. )

I received my JD this spring and United gave me the 10000 miles...

Many places on the web do sell "duplicate diplomas," transcripts, etc.
But something tells me the folks at UAL might get suspicious after you say you received 10 bachelors and masters degrees and also throw in a few Ph.D's, unless you can prove you're the smartest person in the world (providing Mensa membership credentials, etc.).

I agree....sending them an entire transcript will certainly make me feel stupid especially letting them see my poor grades in my goof off classes. Anyone can confirm if they've actually able to recently receive miles from a graduation date of years ago? I graduated in 2000 so I'll try to sneak by if I can.

I'm not sure if they will gift you the miles, however, I know for a fact that you must have been a member of College Plus PRIOR to graduation... That fact alone disqualifies many prior graduates of the miles. Doesn't hurt to try I guess!

Looks like they've added a time limit at:

http://www.united.com/page/article/0,6722,3106,00.html

"* Copy of official transcript must be received within 12 months of graduation."
