expiring miles
I have 13,000 miles that are about to expire on US Airways (dividend miles). Is there any way to transfer them to Mileage Plus (United Airlines)? Even at some reduced rate it would be worth it to me ... I don't want to was them on magazines.

This question is asked (and answered) almost daily in the US forum. The answer (as always) is no.

Can't you just do some small activity (iDine?) to keep them alive? Or a quick magazine redemption?
On most airlines, that solves the expiration problem. If US goes Ch.7 and nobody buys Dividend Miles, that's another story altogether...

What do you mean US airways has expiring miles.
I know I haven't checked the rules in the last few years, but I remember back in 2001, they have non expiring miles. Continental is the only other airline that I know where you don't need activity every 3 years.
I guess you guys are saying US airways has changed the rules.
