I'll be moving in about a month, so needless to say I've been looking to make a switch or in some cases a new addition to many different services of life....tv, internet, electricity, car, etc... With the wonderful world of flyer miles, hotel points and even rental cars entering the ring needless to say I've choosen to shoot for maxium point value in all new or updated aquisitions, when applicable of course.

Since I'm in this some what unique position where I'm able to aquire miles for many different avenues of life I've started diggin' around for about a month or two and I've obtained some useful information that may not also be of service to myself but also hopefully a few of yourselves as well. The following will be an updated list of mile-rewards-points deals on the many different outside aspects of the travler points. By all means, feel free to reference the other boards and topics as this is just an updated overview on what is truly an ongoing and diverse world.


I'm open to going for a new account if it means getting a good head start on being a member of X rewards/pts team however I am somewhat vested in Marriott and Continental, so I'll be looking deep at them before the others. I am however eager to try to get my totals up on a new account with someone so I'll definately being looking at all companies and not my current go to one's.

There's a lot of non travel required ways to obtain points/miles, I hope the below will help to better contain and inform all of you for other avenue's to obtain maxium point totals. And of course, please don't shy away from adding your own findings, thoughts and experiences into the ring.

*I'm a little surprised there isn't more deals for internet

Continental ---- 5k miles for new cell phone- all carriers (onepasswireless)
Continental ---- 5k miles for Dish TV or Direct TV new sign up (home)
Marriott ---- 5k points for newComcast account (home-rwd mall)
Marriott ---- 5k points for new telephone service (home rwd mall)
Comcast ---- new internet account get free basic cable (no pts)



Bank :

Continental ---- 21000 pts for opening a Chase bank account w/card, get 1pt for every $2 debited from account via no pin use
I really wanted this one but Chase is now 49 miles away, PBI


Home/Housewares :
* I find this list to be ever changing, always check frequently for updated point offers. I'd also like to through down the guantlet to any and all rewards personnel to get something going with IKEA....this combo is simply to good to not get going.
