BA Challenge Award Program?

BA Challenge Award Program?

Does BA have a challenge award program like AA or UA? I am Exec Premier (many years) on UA, 700k miles on UA but no status on BA or AA. Should I go for BA challenge program if they have it or AA challenge program?
My thought is to put miles to AA.

What do you guys think?

Thanks

Hi SFOFlyer and welcome to the boards.

I don't think that BA has a challenge program the same as AA, but I could be wrong. AA does and if you are racking up top status miles, AA is a good bet because of the good mileage bonuses and better earning potential on more fare types.

British Airways Executive Club is far too posh to be going down that road.

Similar Question

Reading the forum for a little while now trying to get info before asking for it, but I have the same question with a twist.

I've got about 50k miles with BA but no Tier segmants, thus no status or upgrades, as the company books everything.

Would it be worth getting an AA card, and if so can I transfer my miles?
Would they do status recognition for my AC Elite?
Would BA then recognive the status and allow upgrades or even lounge access!?

Thanks,

Alliance Matching

It would be nice if every alliance member matched status - after all you can get almost equivalent status anyway by using the partner card, so why not encourage the customer to start using their own program, get the same benefits, and maybe thus start using their airline more frequently?
