Which airline for me??
i need help picking a airline to fly with, so i can get some status and hopefully some upgrades, I fly mostly out of YOW for international flights so at least 12000-15000 miles each way, 6 or 7 times a year, with couple of domestic flights down to Cali. I have always booked my tickets through this site
http://www.jetsettravel.ca/air/Air_b...&AL=ALL&mo=no& mi=no&int=y&acn=&pal=y&ot=&it=&otsp=&itsp=
with the promotions going on iam choosing between UA, AA, and AC
from YOW to BKK
AA its around $1100
UA $15xx
AC $1440cdn
all with the 3x promotion till end of Jan, which airline would i have the most chance of upgrading for next year??
also All Nippon Airline is part of Star Aliance am i correct?? if it is it would be cheaper to fly ANA instead of AC since they both get same Aeroplan miles??

ANA is StarAlliance (so are UA and AC, etc.)
the first decision to make is about the alliance you will mostly fly and only afterwards you compare the different ff-programs of that alliance: you will earn miles (and status miles) with any StarAlliance frequent-flier-program flying any StarAlliance-carrier (few exceptions exist). This (second) decision depends on your travel patterns (from where to where, in which paid class, how many miles per year) and what you want most: highest mileage earning for award flights/upgrades, free lounge entrance, free/complimentary upgrades on what fares, more space (like E+ on UA), etc. etc.
