Great Forum!
Hi,
New here, this looks like a great site. I only fly 3-5 times/year, and 30-50 nights in a hotel, which sounds like a lot less than many members. However there seems to be some great info being exchanged and I look forward to participating in the discussions.

Welcome to FlyerTalk!
However, be careful. Pretty soon you'll read about a get-together, find a cheap fare, and decide it's worth it to actually meet some of us in person. Then you'll hear them talk about elite status, upgrades, and all that so you'll figure that with just one more flight and routing your next NYC-London trip via Chicago you can make it. Once you're there, you'll wonder if the benefits of a higher tier are worth it, decide that they are, and ...
Anyhow, that way lies perdition. It's a fun perdition, but perdition nonetheless!

Thanks for the welcome replies. Indeed, the hotel forums seem to have a lot of good tips and tricks.
Efrem,
Too funny. I can see that being a problem - I love to travel.
While I'm replying, will share a somewhat out of the way trip last September to the Canadian Arctic. Traverse City-Winnipeg first day. Next day, 900 miles north into the Arctic on Calm Air on a Saab Turboprop, with stops in several Inuit villages along the way until we arrived at another Inuit community - Baker Lake. Next day, 100 miles by boat through the tundra to camp. We've been to the arctic several times, the trips are an adventure from start to finish.
Nice touch - Calm Air even gave us Aeroplan miles!

Hi Bou and Welcome to FlyerTalk.
I'm sure you'll find a lot of great information here to get the most of your travels. We don't have many rules here, but we do try to keep things organized so it's easy to find information when you need it.
On that note, the MilesBuzz forum is for the posting of information related to the latest frequent flyer program buzz. I'm going to go ahead and move this to the FT Community forum where you can continue to monitor it there.
Regards,
Flipside
