Safeway

Has anyone heard if Safeway is going to extend their mileage earning with the Club Card?

Looks like United and Alaska Airmiles will end at the end of the year.

Exclusively for Safeway Club Members - earn Alaska Airlines Mileage Plan miles every time you use your Safeway Club Card at participating Safeway stores, starting November 3, 2002, through December 31, 2003.

You might want to keep track on your receipt and make sure you don't get left a few $'s short of an award.

Thanks for the reminder! I am heading to Safeway today, and will pay attention to my $$ spent for UA mile. This has been a very consistent, if low volume, earning opportunity for me.

Don't shop at safeway. Their workers are striking to maintain their health benefits. Most of them are paid @ $12/hour. The least safeway can do is to continue to provide health insurance.

I would guess that I've earned about 1200 miles at safeway over the last 2 years, so it's not a huge sacrifice for me.

Wake up dude! The workers should buck up for healthcare. Huge debate about this on omni. Fire all those workers and hire new ones.

Don't know if this is true or not. I called Safeway to ask and the CSR didn't have any news about the agreement ending this year. But as all of us FT's here know, what many CSRs say is never accurate!

$12 / hour, AND health insurance????

In my area that's probably in the top 10% of jobs for uneducated labor.
