CO vs NW vs AS FFP

I am an AC Elite, branching out to another program/carrier.
I will be flying YVR-CUN-SEA in BF on CO in January.
I am not member of any of the aforementioned FFPs.
I do some Westcoast and OGG flying ex YVR. As of now I primarily use AC. I would be open to using another carrier. I have flown AS in F before and was impressed by the friendliness of the cabin crew.
Which of the aforementioned FFPs should I enrol in, so that I can earn points/miles for my upcoming flights?
I understand that I can enrol in a ny one of these programs, and that miles from all three carriers can be accrued to the same account, is this correct?

Thanks is advance for your opinions and ideas.

Though there is an occasional BusinessFirst configured 757 between the West Coast and IAH, there is no BusinessFirst service between the West Coast and IAH, or between IAH and CUN.

Interesting. My company travel agent has made the booking for me, put me in seat 2a for all segments.
I may have my CO terminology confused. I thought I was in business/first class. Is BF the term for CO's international product?
Am in economy? I am 6'4''

No, you're in first class all right, but it's "domestic first," with 2+2 seating and free booze but not a great deal more legroom than Y. "BusinessFirst" is the intercontinental F product, with nicer reclining seats. It doesn't show up very much on domestic/N. American routes.

Shameless bump.

Any idea of which FFP I should enroll in?

Check out the Alaska forum, they seem happier than the AC folks.

I'd considered Alaska for a while because it would suit a lot of my needs and I like their serivce, but because I also like to use miles for upgrades on international fares, and you can't use Alaska miles for that (e.g., on BA or AA), I opted against it.

If you are going for elite status, be aware that CO flights do not count towards elite status on AS, nor do CO flights get elite bonus.

AS is a good all-encompassing programme for occasional travellers as it allows you to dump miles from many airlines into it. However, only a handful, NW, KL, LA and AA, count for elite status.

If you were going for status, I would say NW or if you have an address in Europe, KL.

Thanks for the info, I will go for AS.
I am more likely to fly AS than the others. AS serves the west coast well.
