Miles for Mortgages

I am looking to refi my property and I know there are many mileage offers for using certain partners.

The average offer seems to be 1,250 to 1,300 miles per $10,000 financed. Both AA and AMEX MR (my 2 preferred point partners) offer this program. Anyone know of any invitation codes or bonus offers that let you earn MORE than 1,250 miles per $10K for either AA or AMEX?

I know such a code must exist, as there is a space for it right on the lendingtree.com AAdvantage application.

Be VERY careful with these programs. You'll almost certainly be paying a higher rate on the refi than you would without the miles. And you only get the miles once, while you are paying for them every month for the life of the mortgage, often at a very high cpm rate.

I've never done it for a 1st mortgage but I have done it for a HELOC. I respectfully must disagree that I paid extra for it. I got a great deal on my HELOC with very competitive up front fees and prime minus 0.75% rate.

I'll have to look into the fine print for the 1st Mortgage deal...

Ditto for me with the HELOC. Got a great deal from Chase and got AAdvantage miles to boot.

Anyone interested in earning miles for a mortgage should look at my website below in the Finance > Home Buying section. There are many standard and special offers listed there, and links to special offer pages.
