Please help with my research
Hi everyone
I've chosen to study FFPs for my dissertation, but my research has a few gaps ... please help !!
How many frequent flyer programmes are you a member of?
Why did you join a frequent flyer programme?
What were the mean reason(s) or "appeal" factors which enticed you to join?
What do you want (or expect) from a frequent flyer programme?
Research shows that "convenient schedule" and "reputation for safety" are the most important influences when deciding which airline to fly with, understandably ranked higher than the airline having a frequent flyer programme. If you had the choice of flying with 2 airlines, both with convenient schedules and a reputation for safety, but one had an FFP and one didn't, would the fact that one didn't have an FFP force you to fly with the other carrier?
Or put another way ... if your favourite airline didn't have a frequent flyer programme, would you change to another airline that did?
Finally, to help me to determine who actually makes the decision about which airline to use, who decides who you fly with?
a) you
b) secretary of travel booker
c) travel agent
d) your organisation - you have a company travel policy in place which stipulates which airlines are used
e) other - please specify
Thank you very much for your help - your response will be kept confidentially.

Juliet - on this board you find a lot of helpful (and willing) persons.
Many answers to your questions are posted already. Just use the search button to find the appropiate topics.
To get my personal detailled answer I would ask you to give me first some details (name, adress, university, dissertation-father) of you - by email please.
And/But: the informations you get here will by definition/selection of the people answering not represent any "average frequent flyer" behaviour/opinion.

...you do have an opportunity to tap into the collective consciousness of hundreds of the world's "experts" in the field of FF'ing. Since the comment on confidentiality is impossible for you to keep (if not by the mere medium being used), not that any of us have anything to hide <ducking for cover>, I think that you will find the success you are searching by responding as previously suggested and requesting that the data be sent directly to you via e-mail. Happy (data) hunting,

Juliet... good luck with your survey.
If you can put together a list of questions in some structured format as BlondeBomber proposed (since it appears you have a lot of ?'s) and allow us to e-mail you to request a copy that might help.
Otherwise we would fill up this section with all of our answers to your survey. Thanks.

Juliet--As originally suggested by Rudi, if you have questions, formulate them and take the key words from each of your questions and use the search function of this board. I think you will find more than adequate information to fulfill your request.
