Can services like viewtrip & virtuallythere be used to pull up reservations purchased on airline websites such as nwa.com & continental.com ?. Using the 6 letter confirmations provided by them, I have never been able to pull reservation up.

It could be that the PNR you get from the airline is different to the PNR from Sabre, apollo etc. When I book my RTW tickets, my TA gives me my amadeus PNR that I can log into checkmytrip.com with. Once I've loaded it up, I see each airline has their own PNR within their own system for their own segments.
