departure city search engine?
I guess this would be of interest to anyone, but I was interested in it for the purpose of mileage runs and thought other "mileage-runners" might be most aware of an answer.
Is there a site where you can enter ONLY your departure city and see a list of special fares to a list of destinations?
I'm aware of Dream Maps, was wondering if there was any other places that FTers use for ideas of destinations.
Thanks
Mike

On aa.com, if you go to the "Fare Sales" section of the "Netsaver and Special Offers" menu on the left side there is a form where you can enter a departure city and arrival city to see if there are any sales for that route. You can also just enter the departure city and click "go" to get a list of all AA sale fares from that city.

Here's one I use that is set for the San Francisco Bay Area, but you can probably reset it for your area:

Here are two links you may find useful. They are both set for Pittsburgh, but any major 3-letter airport code can be substituted into the URL.

It is fashionable on this board to bash the Bestfares site, but I have received much helpful info on low fares by using this link. (Even if a fare shows as a "member fare," click on it, and you will usually find a closely priced fare on a major carrier.) Dream Maps now annoys me since they include the "weekend only" specials on the map.
