US Air or Delta?

Ok fellow FF's, I recently received a promotion at work and will be flying more often. I will be flying a lot from LAX or SNA to Charleston, WV (CRW). My boss says to fly either US Air into Pittsburgh or Delta into either Cincinnati or Atlanta.

I am currently Silver Elite with CO and would like to be able to use one of their partners for the miles. I was told that NW will get me to DTW but then I have a prop to CRW.

Can you give me your opinions on which might be a better choice for me before I purchase my tickets?

Thanks for your help,
Dave

Congrats on your promotion!

Choose DL -- it will make Beckles happy

Forget Beckels- Go US Airways. LAX-Chaz, WV flight through PIT are all jet-jet service. 757's connecting in PIT with short connecting times in both directions. Connecting in ATL on Delta will drive you to fits of insanity. PIT and CIN are both great airports so you'll be fine if you connect through either. Also, US Airaways, trying to capture market share (particularly from the west coast) may comp you Preferred status if you tell them your story. Keep us posted and congrats on the promotion... CHEERS!

I would choose DL. They have more flights from the west coast.

Thanks to everyone who answered my post and giving me congrats on my promotion! I will be taking a lot of short duration trips instead of an occasional long duration trip, OH DARN!

I decided on US Airways for the jet to jet service. Now if I can convince them to upgrade me due to frequent travel.

Thanks again,
Dave

Congrats on the promotion and the choice. I'm sure we will all be interested in hearing your impressions of the USAir program from a new-to-the-airline-but-not-to-frequent-flying perspective!
