Got a Question
Please do not flame me if I am in the wrong forum, new here, second post only...
I am going to NYC Nov 6 or 7, will rtn to Atlanta, GA on Nov 9 (just for the weekend).
I was wondering if anyone knows of any good deals based on this requirement.
Fly out 7th am, early, wanna be in NYC by 9/10 am.
Fly out of NYC on the 9th, really late, say about 8 pm.
I must depart from Atlanta, GA (Hartsfield). I can land in La Guardia or JFK.
I would like to use Delta.
If I am in the wrong forum, please move it for me.
Thanks in advance & have a nice weekend.
Ric

Hi, RCC-
Welcome to FlyerTalk. Since you are posting on the Miles Buzz forum, I assume you are looking for deals using or obtaining miles.
1. All Delta domestic round trip tickets cost 25,000 miles. No deals here.
2. There are ways you can earn extra miles by doing such things as checking in on line and flying specific routes. Details and links can be found on my web site below, on the Airline Registrations and Other Bonuses page.

I'm also flying on Delta to LaGuardia Nov. 6 (via CVG on the way out, then via Atlanta on the return Nov. 9)
I figure I'll get somewhere around 7,000 SkyMiles including bonuses.
If on Delta, be sure to get the extra 1,000 bonus miles if purchasing Delta ticket at delta.com Also, use the on-line check in anytime within 24 hours of your flight to get an additional 1,000.
Not sure what kind of deals there are out of Atlanta right now (I got a good deal with delta - $218 from Wichita to LGA because I think AirTran has driven down the prices out of Wichita)
Roswell is nice - I grew up there (Martin's Landing) Hope you find a good deal!

Hi Folks...
Thanks for the warm welcome, you all know how to roll out the red carpet...
PGARY - I try to save all my FF miles for int'l travels, I find that if you watch closely you can always find a deal (in most cases) travelling domestically....thanks for the suggestion though
I almost always travel coach class domestically (buy the tickect)......when I travel internationally, I use FF miles & travel biz class.....I go to Asia & Europe about 3-4 times a year.....
Cordelli....yep you are right, ticket prices are ranging about 285-315.....thanks for looking...
Jmartin...I know EXACTLY where Martin's Landing (ML) is....one of my best friends just bought a house there few weeks ago, helped her move in too.....I live just outside of historic roswell.....I pass ML everyday going to work in norcross....
well folks, there are going to be 4 maybe 5 of us travelling, since I own the company, it will be my dime, I think we will be driving...I really done feel like spending $1,500 or so just on air travel.....I put a question in the Holiday Inn forum, take a look http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/Forum58/HTML/000689.html
I am going up for like 3-4 nights, a few rooms @ 200/night per room, then taxes, food everything else, you know the routine.....not to forget that parking for a large SUV (Chevy Suburban) is $60/daily....CRAZY.....so I want to conserve the money as much as possible since NYC is about to suck it all dry!
Have a nice weekend - what ever is left of it anyway...
Ric
