One Way Awards
Can you redeem miles for one-way award tickets??? I just checked the web sites of AA, CO, DL, and UA, and they all show that 25k is required for a ticket, which is round trip. What if you only want to go one-way. Is it possible? tls

I'd like to fly from LAX to BWI or Philly. I only have a significant number of miles on the 4 airlines I checked. Wonder if KL has one way flights between those 2 cities, that I could perhaps use my CO miles on. tls

Well, this has turned out to be carier specific. Guess that's not a huge surprise. CO's terms do allow it, whereas UA's terms allow it only for their 1k flyers. AA doesn't allow it, altho you can do it via their OneWorld alliance (altho the cheapest way to redeem it is w/ 30k miles) and DL doesn't allow it. CO, here I come ... tls

How do CO terms allow this? The thread on this in the CO forum doesn't convince me that this is officially allowed. CO claims that
but the rewards I've seen all specify round-trip travel.

AC has one ways available. I believe only on flights they or, the subsiduaries operate.
They are slightly more than half of the milage required for a round trip.
