Helllloooo?!?!? Can you say Crocodile Dundee!!! And what about that Energizer Battery guy (remember him, tank top, spikey blonde hair, ran around yelling "YO!" in an aussie accent?)...and I have two words for you (which, upon reflection, seem non sequitor): YAHOO SERIOUS!!!!

And May God Bless the United States and all of the tyrnnical monarchies she has thrown off (and later saved!).

Matt: You can have Croc Dundee and the Energizer man (although I have no idea what that is all about).

But as I said "all her former colonies and dominions" I thought I had already covered the United States.

My point, Merry, was, "right back at ya."

But who likes to go to London for pub-crawls, and comes begging for advice on how to look cool and not be dismissed as an ignorant tourist...???

Scratch Mr Wald's surface and you will find an Anglophile...

Me-OW! I go away for ONE day and this forum goes from talking about best service to a discussion of a nation's contributions to pop culture!

Please get back on topic and please be nice, thank you.

And sorry if I angered the whole F-T community. I'm in a catty mood today!

When the Cat's away, etc. etc.

In any event, we weren't discussing a nation's contributions to pop culture; we were discussing a nation's lack of contribution to culture, pop or otherwise.

All in good fun as you know.

Cheers,
HKF

Good pick up, Phil...He said "Oy!," not "Yo!" That DARN dyslexia acting up again.

And it's not that I'm an Anglophile, Tree, it's that I appreciate different cultures and want to see them from the inside out as opposed to from the outside in...sort of like Dianne Fosse with the monkeys. Now, taking that analogy to its logical conclusion, where does that leave one???

non-OMNI: BA's the best!
(That should keep the Cat happy ... but I think that this thread is so far OMNI that it's beyond redemption)

Catman: I think you run the risk of instigating another newbie 'why do you old-timers try and manage this forum' attack!

Anyway, it is all my fault (as usual) but I had no-one to chat with. Simone is away and Bab's is busy. The pub's are closed. What am I to do? It is either good hearted banter with HKF or that Lap Dancing bar in Soho again.
Nick

PS: Just so you can't give me an Omni warning over this post... Double Virgin Freeway miles on Malaysia Airways flights until 31 May 1999.

Merry: You keep talking about this lapdancing place. Two words: May Fourteenth.

And, um, does everyone know about the big Northwest airfare sale (that's MY Catcop insurance )

I am sorry for CMDR CATCOP showing his claws.

And yes, Baobab, I think this particular forum is beyond non-OMNI redemption.

Please don't be mad at me. I will take all the Cat COps with me to NAWLINS so you mice can have fun!

Non-OMNI: There is no Perfect airline but B-A comes close... and for me generally U-A>
