Better to earn the miles in a Lufthansa Miles & More program. They give 300% bonus in First Class!!!!!! see: http://cms.lufthansa.com/mam/de/en/e...502140,00.html

I'm just wondering how many people will be waiting outside their door when they open tomorrow...
Good luck, y'all...

Conditions: • To ensure that you get this fare, the reservation should be made now. • Specific rules and restrictions may apply to this fare. • Taxes are included except where local airport taxes are collected at check-in time. • To ensure you obtain the ticket(s) at the quoted fare(s), they must be purchased in the country of departure. •
I can only see two payment methods
1) Pay no later than 72 hours after booking is made except as otherwise stated in the "Last day to Ticket"
2) Charge my credit card(This payment method can only be applied when Electronic Ticketing (ET) is available and selected.)
Since ET is not possible on LHR-BKK-LHR I find it odd that some people have enter the cc info and got the card charged as well. Is it really true? I guess I selected #1.

Also to be grouped in the category "having your cake and eating it too:"
What do you the chances are of being able to change the name of one of the travellers in a 2 pax PNR, considering that it hasn't been ticketed yet, only reserved?

I was just thinking...
If you booked 10 trips back to back and credit it to Lufthansa's Mile & More Program, it would only cost 550 pounds in First Class (about $800 US).
You would earn about:
12,000 miles actual flight miles
24,000 bonus miles for First
12,000 bonus for Elite status
-------
48,000 per roundtrip
x 10 trips
-------
480,000 miles for $800 US!!!
Note: This was just quick math - somebody please correct me where I am wrong.

I'm still not able to get the fare so I'm guessing it's been permanently corrected (:
Lesson learned for future when discovering these - book first - post to FT so others can book - and only then email friends. Never ever do the latter 2 before the first or everyone else will book & you'll be left out in the cold due to letting everyone else know
Will check tomorrow to see if TA actually honors them (and if they don't, won't feel so bad for missing out).
My 2nd concern, as posted somewhere above, is will they honor them the day of flight? In the original thread pre-corruption, someone posted they'd ticketed, called 5 times, including the morning of the flight to confirm all was ok, & then when he got to the airport they told him they weren't going to honor it. For those UK-based it's easy to turn around & go home. For those coming from US or Oz, it's a bit more of a hassle.

As I posted in the other thread that now seems corrupted, I'm going to the TG CTO in Albemarle Street, W1, first thing tomorrow (it's around the corner from my office).
I booked two sets of flights. I'll let you all know what happens.
