How many accounts do you have?
How many accounts do you have with a single airline?
Some offers, such as the 20K UA visa or the 25K DL Amex seem like they are great ways to get almost free tickets. Do you guys start separate accounts to get these offers (with some, I understand that you can keep reapplying for so the examples above may not be good examles)?
If so, can you combine them & do the airlines raise hell about it when you do?
Just curious...

Which is why I was asking the experts here on FT!
I figure bhatnasx can apply for as many DL 25K promos & UA 20K promos as bhatnasx has addresses for - at the very least, that'd be a few free tix here & there - but I was wondering if address changes worked & if it was possible to combine - I recall seeing some link somewhere on CO's website about combining accounts, but I'm not sure if I recall that correctly. Besides, why have multiple CO accounts?

Are you referring strictly to credit card offers?
You will get yourself into credit trouble if you start applying under many different address but one SSN. Not major trouble - it isn't illegal, but it may lower your score, and if future creditors look closely, they may be puzzled by this activity.
Also, it isn't a good idea to have a whole bunch of open credit lines. A high credit capacity actually lowers your score, whether you use it or not.

Actully I once accidently had two American accounts. Unbeknownced to me, my father had accidently signed me up for two accounts and I only discovered it when going through some old files I found an AAdvantage card with 595V2V0 on it. I knew my number was nothing like this so I called American and found I had 1,250 miles in the account, I had my two consolidated, no biggie.

I had two AA accounts as well, but that was actually their issue. When getting the Citibank card, they missed that I had an existing account and issued me a new one. I just sent in the two numbers and asked that they be merged into my original account.
It wasn't intentional, but I guess it happens with some frequency, just guessing the number of people that wouldn't remember they had signed up the first time.
