(I really don't care if the definitions of these terms are in the site's dictionary. The time it would take you to type out what you are saying would be considerbly less than the man-minutes it would take the rest of us to look up the terms. And computer storage is very cheap these days.)

m&m is lufthansa'a frequent flyer, if you don't know what BA means - i'm lost on you.
sq is singapore.
these are all good in first (flying with them) but i'm asking points. the ones above really only benefit those who fly alot all the time, i'm going Round the world once and i do a few aus/lhr trips each year usually in econ. i have a few FF cards with points on all.

Lufthansa & bmi offer the most generous allowances for paid first (300% flown miles with no status, 375% with status).
bmi have a quirk though - only 200% for SQ [Singapore Airlines] First.
SQ's PPS club lets you get status, while crediting miles to a more generous mileage program (e.g. Lufthansa's Miles & More). This means you get both lots of miles, and status with two airlines.
None of the Oneworld airlines are this generous. BA offer 200% of flown miles, while Qantas offer a lousy 150% of flown miles in First. Status bonuses mean top tier flyers will earn up to 250% in paid F (Not a jot on LH's 375%).
Regards,
Alex

SQ's Krisflyer is good for the PPS scheme, but NOT good for accumulating miles (unless for upgrading on SQ, which doesn't apply if your are flying F).
I'd go with LH and BA along with most others - though of the 2 you get more bang for your buck out of Miles and More.
Though if you are in the UK, and get the BA/Amex card and earn a 2 for 1 voucher, suddenly BA looks better as it effectivly halves the miles you need. Plenty more on that in the BA Forum.
