Skymiles. WorldPerks and Flying Blue

Posting this query here rather than to individual forums to get widest audience.

Is it 100% certain that when Delta and North West seal the deal, miles from both programs will be merged into one with no loss/devaluation?

Gart Steiger says on his site Flying Blue are merging their FF program with Skymiles. Is this more than just rumour. I have miles in all three programs and will take no action if the above transpires.

Thanks in advance to those more knowledgeable than me.

Nothing's certain except death and taxes.

This would be awesome. I think I may still have like 12,000 miles or so sitting in an FB account and I know not what to do with them.

I don't know Gart Steiger, but I do know that there are surveys for both Flying Blue and Delta Skymiles.

Some FB-members from the US received the survey (worth 1000 miles, so take your pick!) at http://www.globaltestmarket.com/surv...E&secid=c966b6

For a discussion see http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/showt...ghlight=survey

Some Skymiles-members from Europe received the survey (also worth 1000 miles) (sorry, I don't have a link at this time)
