CP Exec Platinum Bonus
I just made it into CPlus Exec Plat this year.
Can someone (Ken Hamer?) tell me about the requalifying levels CPlus is doing this year. Last year, I know that anyone who requalified early got bonus miles and upon reaching Exec Plat again, there was a 100% bonus for AA, CP and QF flights. Does anyone know if OneWorld changes that this year...meaning do we get 100% bonus on oneWorld carriers if we requalify this year?
Thanks...

Kool! Welcome to the stratosphere. Yes, you will receive 100% bonus miles on *EVERY* oneworld flight.
For re-qualifiying, you will still need 85,000 miles. HOWEVER, next March 1 you will receive a LEGACY BONUS of 10,000 miles. Since these are status qualifying miles (just like if you actually flew 10,000 miles) it effectively reduced the requalifying level to 75,000 miles.

Thanks Ken!
PS - Is there a time limit to hit the qualifying 85K this year? And I presume that next year, my qualifying is 75K then.
And BB - I'm going to retain SuperElite as well with the amount of travelling I do!
Cheers!

Yes, you need to hit 85K by Dec 31, 1999. I understand however, that like most programs, if you are close, you can usually negotiate some arrangement. One arrangement that I have heard of (it was not on CP though) was to extend the qualification dealine by a month. This is particularly an option if you have a history with the airline, or if you can convince them that you intend to stick with them.

P.S. Someone else has informed me that CP will "unofficially" REqualify someone if they hit the 90% level. This means that effectively you would need 66,500 to requalify. Requirements are a history with CP (absolute requirement - they will not give it to you on the first year) and serious evidence of continued flying on CP.

Thanks Ken...
I don't think I will have any problem requalifying at all. The only problem I will have is not being able to fly much on CP this year. (I understand I need at least 4 sectors to retain elite status) due to my relocation.
I've been a member of Cplus since they first started way back in 84!
