Transfer miles before expiring????
Hi I have several accounts for all my family members. Only one has 36,000 miles the others have between 5,000 and 12,000.
I looked at a couple of airlines that are having transfer miles fee less than purchasing them. Actually one expires July 31st, today yikes! It would cost me around $75.00 to transfer 5,000 to another family member's account and have close to 20,000 to 25,000 miles.I am basically paying $150 in order to claim the awards for a ticket, to transfer 10,000 miles which I would need to do for Northwest, US air and American . So I would have spent close to $300 for 3 tickets. Is this worth it? I do not have any travel plans yet, but am unsure if this offer will be offered again.
