25K on UA with Sprint...

http://shop.sprint.com/residential/v...ID=unitedpromo

Not sure if this one's been mentioned as I hadn't seen it prior - 25K with sprint with LD & 2 new lines of PCS service will get 10K each, plus an extra 5K

This must be some kind of joke on Sprint's part. They don't even post the points promised for long distance service. All I have is a postcard (as in, sorry lost your Mileage Plus number...) for my trouble. How so many of us could have gotten these is beyond me. Does not speak well for Sprint.

I beg to differ - they've always been great about posting the miles - over the course of 3 years, when Sprint & NW had a relationship, I got at least 30K from them - when that relationship ended, they gave me an extra 5K NW miles as "thank you" for being a loyal customer - and I rarely even use my long distance since I have a (sprint) cell phone.

Resist the temptation to pick a wireless carrier to earn a few miles. I have Sprint PCS and can't wait to abandon it the minute WNP goes on line. Maybe there are some cities where Sprint PCS is the best (Kansas City certainly isn't one) and you should go with it for your calling needs. But don't pick a carrier with poor coverage and bad customer service just to score a few FF miles.

The link doesn't work, nor do any of the others going to shop.sprint.com (which is most of the links on my web site for Sprint offers). Links that go to shop.sprint.com from UAL's site and from sprint.com also don't work. Hopefully Sprint will fix this. If anyone has any info on this, please let me and us know.

I am considering switching back to Sprint for the long distance. Can anyone verify that you are still considered a new customer even if you used them (and earned miles through them) in the past (6-8 months ago)?

Thanks a lot

I switch every 6-10 months or so depending on where my miles are earned - Sometimes some companies (AT&T and once on Sprint) will even pay the switch fee that your local phone charges by giving you a 5.00 credit to start.

Edited to actually answer the question - Yes, they will still give you the bonus if you switch to them - Like every offer you get, print out a copy of it or keep it on file on your computer for future reference if they don't post it - if for some reason they don't post it, if you call them, they usually do - the only one I've ever truly had problems with is AT&T

Hmm, actually this Sprint Complete Sense business is bloody expensive. I guess I'll hang out for another offer
