Extra 2K Mileage Plus Miles
http://mileageplusvisa.ualmiles.com/OngoingOffers.jsp is the link that was provided in the 2,500 miles for getting the additional MP Visa cards posting. I called them and they also offered me an additional 2K miles for trying out their credit protection plan. It's 79 cents per 100.00 of your average daily balance & you can cancel anytime you want & if you cancel within the first month, you get a full refund. Basically, for 79 cents (I've got a low balance right now, but that 79 cents will be refunded when I cancel in about 15 days or so) I'm getting 2k miles. If you're interested, I guess you should call the number on the link above, which is 1-800-537-7783.

Back to Mileage Plus credit card customer service. Finally a fourth c.s. rep took pity on me. She said that the last number I had called was the one that she and all c.s. reps had. She put me on hold and called it herself, and got the same run around. So she got stubborn and talked to a supervisor. The supervisor got stubborn and talked to people higher up. When the c.s. rep called me back, she gave me the correct number and told me that all c.s. reps were getting it as we speak. She was rightly pleased with herself, and I gave her great compliments. (But I think she is too young for me...)
Anyway, here is the number:
(877) 826-8624
Cherish it.

Try this one: 877 881 6524. This is the enrollment #. Agent who enrolled me confirmed she had "heard" that miles would be awarded, but didn't have any specific info. I took a chance and signed up. Something tells me this is going to be one of those deals where you're going to have to be persistent to get your miles. Anyway, good luck with it.

I just called and cancelled. I called UA MP Visa first to verify that I'd get the miles. They told me that their offer doesn't say anything about me getting miles if I cancel the protection account. I called first protect at 888-314-4371 and they told me that the miles are to be taken care of by UA MP Visa and they didn't know what I'm talking about - hopefully they won't charge me because I did cxl in the alloted time.
I'm not counting on the extra 2k. Some promos just aren't worth the hassle.
