lawnmower Question...
I found a lawnmower...it is a 22," 3.75 hp, Murray for $119 @ Wal-Mart.
I wanted to get miles for this @ Miles Mall for ALaska Air. But I decided against it because they wanted $21 for shipping. I am not willing to pay the extra $21 for the mower. Miles Mall will only give me 1 mile for every 3 spent.
Does anyone have any suggestions for me?

just buy the mower at walmart. you'd only be getting less than 50 miles if you buy it online if its only a 1 mile for every 3 dollars spent. so that's about 21 bucks for 50 miles? you decide...

Go pick up the lawnmower. On the way home stop for dinner for the $21 and get 210 miles through the idine program.
It's silly to go through all the trouble to just get 50 miles in total.

Personal rant. Apologies in advance. Value is more important here. Regardless of the retail or mail order option, don't buy a POS that will only last a year because of the stamped metal body and engine built for maximum pollution during its short life. Look at Honda, Toro or John Deere as a 8 year or longer investment. Blade brake clutch...ask for it! Initially it means more bucks, but you'll get more miles, but more importantly more satisfaction.

I need a lawn mower for between fifteen and twenty five minutes every week or two. A $100 mower has lasted me many years, and when it breaks I will purchase another one. It would be a total waste of money to pay a considerable amount more for something with a brand name and an engine that in most cases is made by the same company that made the engine on the $89 machine.
If I had to cut the back forty every week that would be a different story, but there are times the $100 is just dandy.

thanks for the input...I went and bought the mower @ the store today. After reading the posts...it doesn't add up to purchase online for the miles. I did get 129 miles for using my CitiBank AAvantage card though.

A man was handing down the family business to his son.
"Now Jim," the father said, "just watch as I deal with this
customer."
A man entered the shop and asked for a packet of grass seeds. The
father handed them to him and asked if he wanted a lawn mower, to
which the man replied, "Why would I need one of those?"
"Oh," the father said "these grass seeds grow really fast."
The man accepted the deal and left 80 worse off.
The son of the shop keeper took over at the counter, when another
customer walked in. "Could I possibly have a packet of Tampax
please." he requested "Certainly Sir," the young boy said " and
will you want a lawn mover with that?"
The stunned man retorted, "Why?"
"Well sir," the boy said, "it looks like you won't be doing
anything else this weekend, you might as well cut the grass."
