if i make reservations beyond my exp.date
can i change it to a later time? mine exp 12/31/98 but i need it for the year 2000. do you see what i;m trying to do

You can make the reservations for whenever you want but you have to actually use the miles and be ticketed by 12/31/98 or the miles expire. Most award tickets are good for one year so you can change your travel dates after they are ticketed (probably costing you $50 -75; I don't know the specifics with NW) but I think you'll have a problem trying to extend the miles into 2000.

WIth Northwest WorldPerk award tickets, you can be ticketed a maximum of 330 days out.
