Reverse pricing
I'm planning a trip to OGG and am looking for the lowest fare on AA. I have tried several cities and found some ok fares. Since there seems to be hidden deals out there, ie. EWK-OGG, etc, is there anywhere I can search for the fare: OGG to any mainland city and sort by fare? I can get to most US lower 48 cities for no cost so that part of the equation has been taken care of. Thanks

I like to start with this site...you can just change the last three letters to whatever airport code you want.

Try a Travelocity Dream Map with OGG as your hometown. (Try HNL, too.) That'll show you the reverse prices (Hawaii outbound). It's imprecise for a couple of reasons, but it should point you in the right direction. towards some fare sales.
Also note that AA is currently running MCI to Hawaii (incl. OGG) for around $500 R/T - about as low as I've ever seen it out of KC (not sure of dates).
See if you can get something like that before you use FF miles to get to the West Coast to catch a $350 R/T flight.

Welcome to Flyertalk, gejone!
Since your question is about getting the best airfares rather than about miles and points, I'm going to move this thread to TravelBuzz.
(This forum, MilesBuzz, is for "Discussion of the latest frequent flyer program buzz...")
If your interest really is just in fares on American Airlines you could post your question in the American Airlines forum. But since most of the advice to answer your question is likely not to be airline specific, I do think TravelBuzz is probably the best place to get the answers you seek.
