Nagging Business CL Companion Issue

I just moved to Holland. I'm an amex Platinum member and I joined so that i could take advantage of the free companion tix. Now that I'm here, I just went to book 6 separate tix back to the US and was told that the offer is only good FROM the US. Bleak. I remember seeing BA offering buy 1 get 1 free a while back, but does anyone have any ideas on how to get these (or any other interesting options)? My comapny only offers 3 tickets back per year for my girlfriend and I - and I need 6, thus the free companion option.

Many thanks

Welcome to Flyetalk, tkurz1!

You'll find that Flyertalk has a vast amount of information and knowledge. In order to keep it all organized, the board is broken down into forums for different programs and different kinds of questions. The people most knowledgeable in each area then to frequent the boards for those areas, and folks interested in a particular program can most easily access information about that program in this way as well.

This forum, MilesBuzz, is for:
<font face="Verdana, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif" size="2">Discussion of the latest frequent flyer program buzz...</font>
If your question is about getting the most out of your Amex, you'll want to post in the American Express forum.

If your question is about British Airways, you'll want to post in the British Airways forum.

If your question is about "how do I get a free companion ticket?" you might ask that question in TravelBuzz.

Oh, and with all of the free companion certificates out from United, you might find out more about that cert in the United forum or trade for one in Coupon Connection.

I'm going to close this thread here, and then depending on what information you're looking for suggest that you post again in the appropriate forum.

And again, welcome!

Best regards,
Gary
