Filling in some of the gaps, the AA Visa and MC cards have a £50 annual fee, not charged for the first year.

The Delta card (through MBNA) has a fee of £50. Tel 0800 062 062.

There is a bmi (stupid lower case!) card from MBNA - with 2 levels, depending on fee paid. Tel 0800 062 062.

There are 2 versions of the Virgin card, one free (1 mile per £), the other for an £80 fee (2 miles per £).

The three BA/Amex cards have fees varying from £0 to £120, depending on your relationship with Amex, and offer earning rates from 1 to 3 miles per £, depending on card and type of purchase. www.americanexpress.co.uk/ba

I've got a BA AMEX that gets 1.5 BA miles per £1 (double on BA spend) but this also gets a free Companion ticket when you charge more than £15,000 per annum to the card. There is one companion ticket per annum. This can effectively double your miles very quickly. For me it means that a reward redemption can be booked in C rather than Y which is the norm !

Here's the link to the RBS AAdvantage Card

# one Mile for every £1 spent
# 6,500 bonus Miles for signing up (1,500 on account opening and 5000 when the card is first used)
# On each anniversary of the opening of the card account a fee of £35 will be charged - so close the card after 11 months & sign up for a new one.

The Citibank AA card has a J25 annual fee, with a 5,000 mile sign-up bonus.
