You really will have better luck asking your question in the American Airlines forum.
What I would suggest is that you cruise over to that forum and if you have not already done so, do a search for 'plat challenge' and 'platinum challenge'. Plenty of threads will come up that may be of help.
You might also check out FewMiles' outstanding Unofficial Guide to American Airlines AAdvantage. It contains a section on Gold and Platinum challenges.
After you take a look at both of these things (or if you've already done so!) you might want to go ahead and pose your question in the American Airlines forum, where no doubt the experts there will be help to you.
