I've called all the 1-800 numbers in this thread several times, and they all insist that there's a $75 annual fee which cannot be waived for the 1st year?

budster Jan 23, 2003 5:09 pm

So what's the deal with the annual fee waived for the first year? Is it over?

The code on my offer of this deal is 0067477432. It says expires 12/5/02, but maybe you can get them to budge with a run-around.

They might have caught onto our game after the first few calls. I'm glad I got in early but haven't heard back officially from them (hopefully they won't yank my deal back).

Just called yesterday for the AA Business MasterCard offer and all the same terms still apply. Confirmed that $75 fee was waived for first year and 10K bonus miles applied to AA account after first purchase.

Ok, I know this has probably been covered but even if I currently have an AA Citi MC, I can apply for the AA Citi Business MC?

I tried again today and got same answer: "They can't waive the fee and acted like that was never offered in the first place??"

Anyone have any ideas?

Just tried it on 2/4 at 1:25 PST. Worked like a charm... Much thanks to the original poster. Now for some lunch.

I also just tried this and got the deafult offer of no fee for the first year and the 10,000 mile bonus. Although, I am neither self employed nor a sole proprietor and am now wondering if it will work with my made up information. A co-worker (jokingly) accused me of credit fraud. Should I call and cancel before I get in a big mess?

I made up the info, too. I doubt anyone has time or inclination to check on this...

Has anyone actually gotten this card sent to them yet, or have they just applied? The agent may just be taking application info and then they'll run your credit check and approve or deny you.

Thanks for all the information.
I just called Citibank to the phone number posted on previous messages and I asked for the 10,000 AA miles and the Fee waved for the first year offer; and Citibank said that the offer is still on. Although, the Rep. did ask for the promotion code, all i said to him was that i didnt have it with me.
He then asked for my zip code and said that he could give me the offer. The Rep. only then asked for my business info., address, AA account, etc.

You gotta give it a shot!

Called the 800 number but CSR said annual fee waiver was not part of the offer and gave me a citibank customer service number to call. Any thoughts!

I just called to check on my application, and they said that the cc is in the mail. Now all I have to do is get it, and wait for the 10,000 miles to post! http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/smile.gif
