If this were an offer that anyone on Flyertalk could take advantage of (not targeted, a website or promo code that could be posted here for anyone to use) it would likely be appropriately posted here in MilesBuzz -- especially since most of the folks over in the United forum would already have Mileage Plus accounts!
But if this is a targeted promo, or is a one-off card that was mailed to you, it's probably of a bit more narrow interest and thus best posted in the United Airlines forum.
