Miles for Checks Drawn on Credit Cards

Does anyone know of any credit card that currently permits FF mileage to be earned for checks drawn as cash advances on the account?

United Mileage Plus Gold Visa credits miles for balance transfers and convenience checks but it's only 1 mile for every $2.

Are you completely sure about this? I never have gotten miles for balance transfers and my terms state that I will only earn miles for purchases.

Once in a while, GM Mastercard will send me checks that will earn rebates (towards a purchase of a GM vehicle, of course). When they do, its good for only a limited time. Not all checks that they send will earn rebates, though, so I have to check every time I get them. So far, I got them twice within the last six months.

Not miles, but the Waldenbooks Visa from First USA gives you 1% in gift certs, and they give you credit on convenience checks. They also charge a transaction fee, which is 3%, but maxes at $50 - so if you can do a very large charge, it makes sense.
