15K or $225? NWA
Hello,
I had a terrible flight with NWA, they lost my bags, cancelled one flight, delayed 3 more, and 'deiced' for 4 hours.
So, they are offering me 15K in miles or a voucher for $225. I don't have any miles with NWA and I'm not sure I'll fly with them too much more.
What should I do? Is $225 a rip off?

PS - Forgot one detail: I have 4 hours to decide!

If you unfortunately decide not to use NW for future use (sorry about your problems, they really are a good airline, just wasn't their day), then take the $225 voucher and trade it for something that you might be able to use on a different carrier of your choice later on.

Voucher.
15K miles is 3/5 of a coast-to-coast ticket.
$225 can buy you a coast-to-coast ticket, earning you 5K miles in the process.

I'm going to move this over to the Northwest forum where the experts there may be able to offer some advise.
I tend to think that an airline-specific question belongs in that airline's forum, rather than in MilesBuzz.
Thanks,
