Is Jan 1 the most hated day on FT?

I've seen quite a few posts lamenting the zeroing out of all requalification totals of points and miles.
I know that I simply can't stand to see all my efforts to get status wiped out when the calendar changes
[mods - I wasn't sure which forum to put this in - please place in more appropriate forum if this isn't it]

Oh yeah. I have flights on 2 different alliances Jan 1 to help wipe out the zeroes as quickly as possible.
But remember, many FFPs do not use calendar year and thus not zeroed out today (except by chance if your membership year coincides with the calendar year).

On one hand it's not nice to see all the miles gone, but on the other hand it leaves a challenge for this year, which I'm ready for. It's also nice to see systemwide upgrades post, since my column has been "zeroed" out for quite a while now.
Of course I planned a few trips for this year to alleviate the pain just a little.

Most hated day? No, I don't think so. If you have programs that zero out today (which I do) then it's an opportunity to look forward and decide afresh where I want to put my money/miles/nights.

oh, for me it is usually one of the more hated days of the year, but this is in no way connected to frequent flier programs or aviation in general
I very seldom have hangovers(and can usually drink exactly the right amount of alcohol
)... but when I do they are nasty, and on Jan 1st they kind of seem to be somewhat of a regular occurrence

Status--(whatever last year's quality time on planes earned you this year)
My Reservations--where there should be numbers, several of them...you do have your winter MR's booked already, right?

meh ~ -0- comes with the territory.
more telling: does one relate more to the "SUCCESS!!
-or- "SCREWED!!
threads ?.?.?
Thinking: with all the 'rebooked for WX' issues last week ~ is it time for an "Original Schedule Credit" policy ?? ^
HNY y'all...

It depends upon whether you are a USC fan or rooting for the Illini. In the words of an old UCLA friend of mine...
If one dum-dum said dum-dum and two dum-dums said dum-dum dum-dum, how many dum-dums would it take to say, dum-dum, dum-dum-dum-dum, dum-dum-dum-dum, dum-dum-dum-dum do this to the theme of USC fight song?
Nothing like sitting up in the middle of the night looking for fare deals and hanging out at FT while the browsers churn away.
