Seat plans
Firstly - please don't lambast me if this is not MilesBuzz as I think it may cross the line into TravelBuzz....we'll let the moderator decide
I am on long haul LH flights this weekend and again in a few weeks. My family (wife and 2 young kids - 5 months and 2 years) are with me and we have tried to pre-book bulkhead seats for a bassinet.
We have been allocated one seat at the bulkhead (adult plus bassinet) and two elsewhere on the plane (adult plus 2 year old). I would like to be able to call up the booking line and change this if possible but before I do so, I would like to know if the plane is full and where there are spare seats.
I used to be able to check seat plans on www.checkmytrip.com but this seems to have been down for weeks now.
Does anyone else know where there is a site where I can do this. I do not have a Galileo reference but do have the tickets and they have a PNR on them (if that is important).
Thanks in advance !

You can check whether the flight is full here:

A few other sites (some of which may offer seat maps) are listed here:

A listing of where to find seating plans for most airlines:
http://www.uk-air.net/seatplan.htm#L
LH is available on the LH site. It does not show filled seats. If you are on a UA codeshare, UA will have the seat plan, and empty seats.

Bond Boy, I think your initial instinct is correct. This topic, though interesting, really isn't about miles and points.
I'm going to move this to TravelBuzz, though it could also be appropriate for Online Booking and Bidding (since it's about looking at/editing reservations online) or the Lufthansa board (since you're trying to edit seats on a LH flight).
If you haven't yet gotten what you need, and you don't get the answers you need over at TravelBuzz, you might ask the question of the Lufthansa gurus over in the LH forum.
